Mythology is medicine.

When we explore the stories of mythology and folklore, we give ourselves a chance to pause and look at who we are now and where we’re heading next.

Myths work at the individual, archetypal, and collective level, speaking to the soul and the society as a whole.

And as powerful as mythology can be about revealing human nature, these age-old tales open us up to consider something that even more essential and expansive: the more-than-human world.

Join us for a 13-week program that will inspire your creativity, open you to new possibility, and root you into a community of wise, like-minded, like-hearted people from around the world.

The Heroine’s Knot is…

Hey there, Heroine. I see you there.

I see the way that you thrive when you prioritize your inner life, your creative impulse, and your desire for soul-deep conversation.

I see the way you struggle to fit in your desire to create more, discover more, connect more.

The Heroine’s Knot is for women* with full lives who know they need something a little different to fill their cup.

The Heroine’s Knot is a community of women who think expansively, feel deeply, share intently, and listen fully.

Together, we hold space for individual stories and the concerns of the moment, even as we explore heroines’ stories and archetypes from the distant past.

We conjure something powerful and unexpected each time we meet, and that empowers every heroine in the circle to live a life more thoughtful, beautiful, and generative.

* Note: “Heroine” doesn’t just mean “female.” This group is for all cis and trans women, as well as non-binary folks who are comfortable in a space that centers the experience of women.

Our next session begins later in 2023.

Meet Your Guide, Marisa Goudy

Have we met yet? I’m Marisa and I'm a story healer, a writing coach, and a myth worker. I’m also a practitioner of energy medicine and a scholar of Irish literature and Celtic lore.

I meet you at the crossroads of the ancient and the modern. I speak the language of magic and myth, of tarot and imagination, but I've got the practical skills of an academic, a copywriter, a website development firm owner, and a digital marketer, too.

My book, The Sovereignty Knot: A Woman’s Way to Freedom, Power, Love, and Magic was published in 2020. Currently, my creative energies are devoted to “remythologizing” stories from Celtic myth and Irish folklore for the KnotWork Storytelling podcast.

You are invited to join me in this community, a cauldron where you can dive deep into your personal stories, your spiritual and intellectual passions, and the great dilemma of being alive at this moment in time. This is a place to explore, to heal, and to create… together.

Untangle the knots of contemporary creative life.

Connect to the greater web.

Weave new stories, new relationships, and a new way of being.

Working with Marisa opens the gateway between the magical and the practical, whether we are talking about business strategy or the fears keeping me from my writing desk. Her insights and wisdom have helped me to open more fully to pathways of abundance, exploration, and courage. She's a treasured companion on my journey as an entrepreneur.

Marisa is magic in a red-headed body! I met her in a time of deep introspection and career change, and the devoted weekly gathering for story, writing, and conversation was a balm and boon.

I love her passion for storytelling and her ability to bring writing prompts to allow us to explore the heart of the matter. I am signed up for my third round and am so excited to see the fellow heroines as we return to Marisa’s hearth.
