I know what it’s like to lose track of my own personal and professional narrative and to let other people write it for me.

I know exactly what it’s like to stumble and flail as an entrepreneur without a story to anchor my sense of self and inform my approach to business.

Ten years ago, when I made the leap from academia, I did it without a net. I had a passion for words and healing, an affinity for the digital world, and a work ethic that just wouldn’t quit. What I didn’t have was a coherent story or a clear understanding of who I was meant to serve or how I would use my unique gifts to build a sustainable business.

I’ll never forget the day a client sneered at me, “I thought you were meant to be the local marketing expert.”

Truth is, I never thought myself to be anything of the sort, but I was flattered when another client recommended me to this guy and figured I could fake it ‘til I made it.

(Sometimes we don’t know what we’re capable of until we take a risk and try something new. And sometimes, we end up sobbing in the car because we were being forced to play a part and conform to a plot that that never was ours in the first place.)

That was a long time ago. I never did become “a local marketing expert” because running local ads and supporting every small business on Main Street was never going to be my sweet spot.

Instead, I dove deep into my love of story, healing, and Sovereignty.

I built a business supporting transformation professionals who want so much more from their brand and their business than a higher profit margin.

And, at the same time, I wrote my story - both for myself and for the people who are ready to embrace their own potential - in my new book The Sovereignty Knot: A Woman’s Way to Freedom, Power, Love, and Magic.

I am so privileged to spend every day dedicated to the practical and the magical, helping people get the words on the page and grow the business even as they call more wonder and passion into their lives.
